The 黑料社区 Counselling & Support Centre is professional counselling offered at an affordable rate because final-year counselling students are facilitating the session under the mentorship of an experienced registered counsellor. Your session will assist you to identify your desired outcomes and provide appropriate guidance or intervention to open new horizons for you as you take this journey to wellbeing. In this safe, friendly environment you can be assured that you will be valued as an individual and helped as you take a necessary journey to a more fulfilled life.

If you are 黑料社区 student this service is free, but anyone can access for a small fee of $20 per hour.

I am the Head of the 黑料社区 Counselling Centre as well as the Counselling Practicum Coordinator and lecturer at 黑料社区.

My educational background consists of a Bachelor鈥檚 in Psychology and Criminology, and a Master鈥檚 in Sociology and Counselling.

Bio and Personal Info/Interests:

I have a passion for working with people. For many years I was involved in aspects of church leadership and managing different counselling centres.听Prior to coming to work at 黑料社区, I was working as a Counsellor in South Africa for over 15 years. I Immigrated almost 7 years ago to this beautiful country with my family and have been working at 黑料社区 since 2019. I have been married for 30 years and have 2 adult daughters. I have a passion for painting and gardening, and I equally love a good cup of coffee.

I came to personal faith in Jesus Christ as a young child and this faith has been my strength and guidance most of my life.

Hello, my name is Kayla, and I am a current Master of Counselling student. I have spent a large part of my working life in education facilities specifically catering towards disengaged youth. In the last few years, I have gained experience working with adults who are often far from their homes, helping them to navigate the life of an international student studying in Australia.

Safety and respect are important to me. I want all my clients to feel heard, understood and supported in our sessions. With this foundation, I hope we can explore and overcome any potential challenges and hardships.

In my spare time I enjoy reading a good crime fiction novel with a cup of tea or going on adventures with my dog 鈥楻ooki鈥 who is my partner is crime!

Beyond my professional role, I’m a proud mother to three wonderful adults and have been happily married to my husband, Jason, for over 25 years. Together, we’ve served in various ministry and church leadership roles for more than two decades. Drawing from my own life experiences, I understand the complexities of facing challenges and aim to provide a sanctuary for others to process their struggles while preserving their sense of self.

My passion lies in empowering clients to develop the skills needed to overcome obstacles and cultivate healthy relationships. I look forward to getting to know you, hearing your story, and walking alongside you on your journey towards growth and fulfilment.

I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychological Science and have always had a passion for working with and helping people. I believe that each person has a story to share and deserves to be truly listened too and heard.

I have a background in Residential Youth work, Disability support and as a teacher aide. I also have a background serving in church in the areas of youth, and also serving as a volunteer with Red Frogs. I love being around people and helping them to become the best version of themselves and grow.

Rachel has worked with adults and teenagers in the outdoors, including youth-at-risk programs and international boarding schools. She loves getting out for a trail run or sitting and enjoying a view with friends. Her nieces enjoy going camping with Rachel and her husband.

As I embark on my journey as a counsellor, my background in Human Services and Support Work, combined with my hands-on experience with individuals with disabilities, has laid a strong foundation for my practice giving me an empathetic and inclusive approach. My education, enriched with a Diploma in Human Services, a Certificate in Support Work & a Bachelor鈥檚 in Counselling has equipped me with a deep understanding of the diverse challenges individuals face, guiding my compassionate approach to counselling.

Creativity and activity are central to my life. I find joy in painting, sketching, music, crochet, and I have a particular passion for tennis and staying active. These interests keep me balanced and fuel my personal growth, which enables me to help others better.

My name is Therase and I am currently completing my last year of a Bachelor of Counselling at 黑料社区. I look forward to working with you in a person-centred approach where together we will build a confidential and safe therapeutic environment for successful therapy. I have completed elective studies in the area of Children and family counselling along with grief and loss. I have attended workshops for Children and Adolescent counselling, Complex PTSD and completed Gottman level 1 relationship counselling.

I have worked as a teacher鈥檚 aide for 15 years at a local primary school and have extensive experience working with children with ASD, social/emotional issues as well as general behaviours and anxieties. For the last 8 years, I have worked as a prep teacher aide, which has been challenging but very rewarding. Along my journey, I have built strong relationships with parents and supported them with the toughest job of all 鈥榩arenting鈥.

I am passionate about helping people reach their goals and love working with people of different backgrounds and stages of life. Areas of special interest include couple and family counselling, grief and loss, anxieties and personal growth of clients. My goal as your counsellor is to lead you to discover your true strengths and potential to overcome life鈥檚 challenges.

For the last 8 years, I have been a bible study leader, concentrating on pastoral care and guiding others through bible reflections, prayer and occasionally counselling. I have been married for 29 years and have 2 adult daughters who are still at home! I love bush walking, camping, gardening, walking my 13-year-old Labrador every day and spending quality time with family and friends. My motto in life is 鈥業 would rather have a chat with friends any day than do housework鈥.

My name is Tsatsaa, and I am in the final year of my Master’s degree in Counselling at 黑料社区. I am deeply passionate about helping people who need to be heard, understood, and accepted for who they are and what they are going through. Witnessing people take control of their own lives, becoming stronger, and transforming from within is an amazing experience. I find it fulfilling to see people find meaning and freedom in their lives and hope for the future.

I am no stranger to the ups and downs of life, and I understand the importance of having someone by your side during your journey. I believe that everyone’s life journey is as unique as their fingerprints, and I respect and value differences and cultures. Therefore, I practice integrated as well as tailored approaches, addressing each person’s holistic well-being.

I am originally from Mongolia, and I have been counselling individuals, couples, young adults, and children in my country for several years. I started practising counselling as a part of my training in the advanced counselling program of Living Wholeness in 2017. I also was doing it as a part-time job and ministry. In my free time, I love to walk in nature, sit on the beach, do exercises, have deep and meaningful conversations with people, and travel to new places.

Coming from a hotel and hospitality background with a diverse range of life and work experiences in multiple countries, I am able to genuinely understand the cultural and social dynamics, including roles, responsibilities, and relationships in a workplace or a foreign country. I am听open-minded, inclusive, and non-judgemental,听and you are welcome to speak in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin with me. I am a fan of movies, nature, salad, coffee, cheese and wine.

All the past experiences that I have had in life have ultimately shaped me into the kind of person I am today. We all have our own unique life journey, curated and inherited by different stories in different seasons at different stages of life.
